Today, a small group of us got together in memory of a friend who died 8 days ago and who usually was involved in our more complicated run outs. It was sunny at 8am, then we met at 1100 at Pilling amenity car park, and it wasn't. It was also sad not to see Little Al's rally Cooper S Riley Elf in the line up.
Then it got worse..
The thin yellowish line level with the top of my roof is the tide out on the Wyre estuary to the left, and the Lune estuary to the right.
The Humber Hawk only made about 12 miles when it killed it's auto box.
I think we caused havoc with the Lancashire Automobile Clubs run ( I should of been on with the Manchester P6 group, sorry Mick), as we were travelling for some of our route in the opposite direction to them.
We did 86 miles in drizzle and rain, and as I type, there is a blue sky and the sunset is beautiful, timing huh?
John.
