Dont know weather to admire, laugh or cry

19th century English cleric and writer, Charles Caleb Colton wrote,.."Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Given that they are Japanese, the build quality and reliability will likely be extremely good indeed. They do look pretty good too if you ask me.

old micra k10 by the looks of it - that dash is similar to my wife's Nissan Figaro she had a while back...

Don't like them. Look fine from the front, but from any other angle I think they look out of proportion. Would suit mutants though :?:

I was wandering around a car show a few months ago, when the owner of one was trying to "inform" everyone that it was a Jaguar replica and that he had the "right" to park with the other classic cars..

The response was mostly a mixture of laughter and tears :)

I wonder could they do a P6, would be cheaper to drive to all those classic shows

That is truly awful  . Then again, I can't talk, I've got a Jag replica based on a mondeo  .

Mitsuokas are very neatly done, my only criticism of them is that like the Nissan Figaro, from the firewall forward, they are fairly insubstantial fiberglass
No statutory collision standards in Japan, unlike the USA or EU
Figaros were banned as used car imports into New Zealand...

My favorite moment of the Goodwood Revival: the marshals hoiking the replicas out of the queue to get into the classic parking areas. Queue some rather irate Morgan owners and GT40 replicas. These were forcibly stopped and shown to the 'park of shame' with all the others who'd tried it on.

The 2000TC sailed on past to park right at the front. I've driven some great replicas (proteus Jaguar C-type) and some OK ones (Dax Cobra). I don't know about these pastiche cars though...
