I have a couple of spares off 4-cyl cars if someone can confirm they're the same. They have surface rust, but I think they're basically sound. I'll have a better look to confirm.

Thanks Harvey, I'll check them this evening. Perhaps I'd better check how much they normally go for too... I see JRW are asking £150 for "reconditioned" ones.

Just had a quick look. I have two sets in the shed, but I'm going to have to run a drill mounted wire brush over them to get a better idea of their condition. I'll try to do so tomorrow. There's also a pair on a spares car that I'll start stripping down in a week or so, but that's been standing a long time so they may be terminally rusty.

Hmm, closer examination done. They're all equally covered in surface rust which has pitted in places but hasn't penetrated through at all, so they still feel strong. I guess you could fit one as it is and consider it a temporary fix, but you'd be better off getting it grit blasted then painting it with a good quality rust preventative coating like POR15.
Considering the condition, I think my original £20 is fair, plus postage which should be around £10. If you're interested, drop me a PM and we'll sort things out. I have a Paypal account so could get one in the post on Monday or Tuesday.
I won't be offended if you'd prefer to look elsewhere for a better one. Once I have the pair removed from the spares car I'll try to get them all grit blasted, then perhaps strengthen any dodgy bits and flog them for loadsamoney.
