De Dion tube gaiter

Gentlemen,

Having now welded in a replacement boot floor in my P6 I noticed that the De Dion tube gaiter is in need of replacement, I cant remember where this one came from but its only lasted 18 months and its disintegrated beyond recognition. Can anybody tell me where I can buy another please.

I replaced the Gaiter on my Dedion Tube when I rebuilt it. The car has 0 road miles on it, and I noticed last week the gaiter is already cracked. As all rubber has a life expectancy, I assume original gaiters, although unused, are likely to split soon.
I would look for recently reproduced ones if they are available. Checking my records I see the Gaiter was bought in 2007
from Rover Classics. As I said, it has not seen any road use since assembly.
 
You can get them via Ebay,or the usual suppliers!
If you get an old stock original,you should find it better quality "thicker",than the thin repro's!
I fitted a repro and it didnt make it to the next MOT,I fitted a thicker original and havent touched it for at least 4 yrs,and my car is my daily driver!
