Does anyone have a crosslist for pressure plates and clutch plates, and in that case help me to confirm that:

Borg&Beck clutch plate "53131" is the same as Sachs "X 1861 352 444",
Borg&Beck pressure plate "type 8/8 1/2" is the same as Sachs "X 3082 100 142"?

The Borg n beck numbers don't cross but each numbers are good for P6 but are no longer available according to sach website

Thanks for you info. Yesterday I also found on a number of sites that the Sachs numbers match the Rover P6. So I ordered the clutch parts yesterday afternoon at my local spare part dealer, and got them today. At first glance it seems like both the pressure plate and the clutch disc has the same measures as the old ones. I'll check more in detail tomorrow.

It's time to mount my new Sachs pressure plate and clutch disc. It is specified for a P6 2200 TC according to several sites, but there is some design differences that makes me a bit worried. The clutch disc look a little bit different from my old (and worn) Borg & Beck. The center is a bit higher/longer as can be seen on this picture:

...and in this:

And, the "bends up" at the springs are higher in the old one, as seen in these pictures:

Anyone, could this be a problem, or can different brands have differences in design? At the website of a Swedish spare part dealer this is mentioned of the Sachs clutch plate: 'The clutch plate has torsional damper to reduce vibrations from the engine to the gearbox, and suspension friction linings for better starting performance'. Can this be the reason of the design differences maybe!?

I don't want to put back a wrong clutch plate and when the engine is installed again, find that the clutch doesn't work as it should.

The tabs are only there to hold the springs in place so won't make any difference.
With the new disc being slightly shorter it won't make any difference as there is less chance it will foul on anything. As long as the hub fits in the flywheel and the cover there will be no problem.
