Correct fitment of foglights?

Hey,
I bought a set of Lucas Square 8 chrome backed fog lights on ebay a while back and a pair of fitting brackets for them from JRW, just looking to see if someone can confirm for me how they are supposed to be correctly fitted?

Any pics of how the brackets attach behind the bumper and how the lamps are mounted to the brackets would be appreciated so i can confirm i have got them on right.

At the moment i have them attached to the outer bumper mounts between the mount and the bumper with the fog light in the outer of the 2 holes on each side. Looks like it should be right to me but just want to be sure.

Thanks,

Al

Very lucky you!

Maybe this pic helps you a little bit

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Looks like my brackets and lamp fixings are a slightly different style but that they are attached correctly, thanks.

Here's a couple of pics of how they have turned out on mine - obviously not currently fully adjusted, aimed etc.

Cheers,

Al

I've never seen the bracket between the iron and the bumper, always between the iron and the bumper bolt head. The way that is positioned you're pushing the bumper forwards, and the two bolt heads look very close together. Repositioning the bracket will give more space there as well.

No worries, I'll try swapping them around in that case and see how they go on the other side of the bumper mount.

Think that'll mean rotating the brackets too as they don't match the curvature of the mounts, hence why I put them on the bumper side so perhaps it's meant to be the side of the light brackets with the 2 small holes that go at the bumper side with the single large hole on the lamp side.

Will give it a shot.

Thanks

Ok, i have now rotated them around so they are behind the bumper, in order to not be sitting at a bizarre angle they need to be fitted with one of the 2 small holes on the bumper side and the larger one on the lamp side since the single large hole side is too wide to match up with the bumper mount without being misaligned.

How does this look now?

That's how they are indicated as being mounted in the parts book, but it doesn't give an option to move the lamps slightly inwards or outwards according to taste, which you can do if you mount the bracket with the single hole to the bumper. I can't say I've ever found that they don't sit flat on the bumper iron if you mount them the other way.
