Does anyone have any ideas on why my V8S run's cold. Engine seems to take an age to get anywhere near warm, and then only just about gets to the green section of the guage. In cold weather I'm still on choke for about 15/20 miles before I can push choke fully in. Even when I have done this engine sometimes stalls when I stop. Heat through heater matrix is also just about luke warm, so this also confirms to me that engine is running cold and is not a guage problem. I have tried changing thermostat (82°C) but this has made no difference. Me being new to the V8, is there a bypass hose somewhere, with a one way valve that may be problem? Or should I replace thermostat with hotter unit? Car is also fitted with Kenlowe, this is definately not switching on when it shouldn't so is not the problem. Should I remove pump blade for winter running?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
