Colour change?

Have you come to a conclusion on this one yet...?!

We've been slightly overtaken by events/other cars pushing in and demanding attention...

I believe we'll do it Tobacco Leaf. Which will save quite a bit of work.

Some panels have already been fitted up, but another two P6's got in the way. Once the interlopers are sorted out it's back to this one...

Cheers

Folks

I've been a bit tardy - other Rovers needing attention have got in the way of this car, however I have big plans for her this year - probably going to Annables in the summer if all goes to plan.

Q: Has anyone got a large photo of an April Yellow car they can post so I can demonstrate the colour to my better half, as this looks like being where we are going.

Thanks
Nick

These are the only ones I have in my collection. It's hard to see how subtle it is. It seemed to be a lot more common in the States. Beautiful colour though.

Nice as a series one but how does the plastic grill and bonnet bulges suit it?

Colin

That's the question - I could turn my car back to Series I looks with the aid of a Series I V8 bonnet.

The other colour I'd seriously thought about is Bronze Yellow, the BMC/MG colour:

April Yellow is winning out though.

Thankyou so much for putting the photos up. When going through the production registers at Gaydon it's quite incredible how few UK cars were April Yellow. I was going through the 425 register the other day (UK RHD Series I V8) there were almost none in yellow - in fact the only one that stood out was a car that went on to become one of the Fuel Injection test cars (much more to follow on this in 'Driving Force' in the next couple of months, we've uncovered some hereto undocumented information which will be absolutely fascinating when we've got it all together).

Just a thought as I think everyone else has covered most of the other bases, how about nightfire red?? modern yes, but I think it would be a break from the norm and not look out of place given the lines etc of the P6. I do understand the argument for using the original range of colours but I did one of my beetles in Rolls Royce wild berry a couple of years back and nobody thought it was a non standard colour and the small mica particles in the colour showed up in the sunlight lovely with the curves and shapes of the body.
