Hello.
I am having trouble with getting the front coil spring back on my p6, so am wondering if anybody has any road spring retaining rods that were a proper tool for keeping them compressed. If so is anybody willing to sell/ lend to me if i send back and cover postage? Or has anybody got any advise on a tool they have used and found effective etc.
Many thanks.
Lewis.

Hello Lewis,

I have used compressors very similar to the ones pictures in the link, and have found them to be very good indeed. It is by no means an easy task, but being able to compress the spring sufficiently to allow the top link to fit into place is very helpful indeed.

The ones that I have are over 20" in length, so you will need ones of a similar length to ensure they can compress the static spring with safety which is in the order of 17" in length.
