chrome edge on bonnets

Help!!!
I have seen pictures of cars with what looks like a chrome leading edge on the bonnet, in fact when this web site is opened @ the home page the blue Mk1 appears to have the item I am talking about can any body give me info please

hi the chrome edge at the end of the bonnet is for the mk 1 v8 but they will fit the mk1 2000 just have to make the hole as fare as i know it will not fit the mk 2 bonnet
 
Hi John they were only fitted to the Series 1 V8, I fancy one for my S1 2000 but not sure if they fit though at a guess I think they probably do

I wouldn't reckon so as the S2 bonnet sticks out in the middle whereas the S1 bonnet is flush (more or less) but if you like it then you could probably fit a S1 V8 bonnet to your car but you would loose your 2 power bulges

thats the best way get a S1 bonnet on it but trying to get hold of a good S1 v8 bonnet is hard i got 2 S 1 2000 bonnet but need a v8 so go back on mine so i can take the S 2 bonnet off
