Changing rear crankshaft oil seal

I'll replace the rear crankshaft oil seal on my 2,2 engine, which is removed from the car. As the bell housing support plate is to be removed I can't use an engine stand or an engine crane, and I can't put the engine on the floor since the sump is to be removed. How have you others done when replacing the oil seal?

hi whenever I have used an engine stand I have used the engine mount bolt holes to connect it to the stand. Admittedly I haven't tried a p6 engine
hope this helps

I did this last year on my 2200TC with the engine on the stand.

The slotted bars are clamps from a milling machine.

Yes of course, now I see that there are four engine mount holes left after the support plate is removed

Well, then I need to get the oil sump back on, and lift the engine with the engine crane to a table or something with a height which is the same as my engine stand, and then remove the support plate and fasten the engine stand in the four engine mount holes. To remove the sump again I need to lift the engine, somehow (I can't use the crane since the support plate, and thus the lifting point, is removed), a little bit off the table and take away the table :|
