Granted a great film, but that ALMOND P6 got it just deserts! dented passanger door and a frontal remake
An excelent oppotunity for a respray in a more appealing colour

its a tearful end in lockstock etc, seeing a p6 crashing
they should have a warning at the start of the film about 'some disturbing scenes'!
still
anyone seen the 'munster movie' where Herman builds a hot rod?
ok, it was a coffin on wheels 8) but i think it had 1st, 2nd, and 'gogo' gears!
i think i missed out 'growing up'!

hey i have both the munster car models in 1/18th scale by ERTL ;-)

Deathproof is a great film. Kurt Russel is hilarious as Stunt Man Mike. How about Taxi, the original French version? Lacking in Rovers of any kind though!

'The bank job' from a couple of years ago had some Rovers in it.
'Green hornet'? That Imperial was gorgeous!
Another vote from me for 'Death proof'. I totally fell in love with Zoe Bell.
Don't forget the Avengers series, there was even a wedgewood blue P6 that turned up in a couple of episodes.
I didn't think 'Goodbye Pork pie' made it to the northern hemisphere. Excellent!
Did anyone see 'Battletruck'? Very post-apocalyptic. Which reminds me: 'Mad Max'.
'Danger: Diabolique' had a matching pair of E-types, one black, one white.
'Dazed and confused' had some great stuff in the background.

I've just been checking my DVD collection. I have far too much Sci-fi and Horror/comedy. Not enough car films.

It was on telly here years ago and stuck in my mind. I bought it on disc recently and wasn't disappointed. Dunno if it ever made cinema release in the UK.
For those who may have seen it long ago, it's the road movie where a couple of misfits are being chased across NZ in a Mini, selling bits of it as they go.

yall forgot HERBIE!rich
I do like herbie even the new film is alright. I like how the love bug started anyone remember? American stock cars and bangers was brilliant ;-)

Carry on Cabbie!! where Sid James' character upon seeing two girls walk by in mini skirts says "if their skirts get any shorter they'll have two more cheeks to powder"

and "The Italian (you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off) Job".

Oh and what about "The Fast Lady" with Stanley Baxter driving that Bently Four and a half litre engined Red Label Speed in British Racing Green, I do prefer "old school" car movies!!

Vanishing point! (the original of course)
Also good are: Bullitt? Great car chase but boring movie.
The french connection.
Gone in 60 seconds (original)
Dirty Mary, crazy Larry
Ronin
Blues Brothers
Smokey and the bandit.

I think I'd ditto all those. And in the same order  Though I do think the star of Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, and Vanishing Point has to be the helicopter pilot(James W. Gavin). He specialized in low level stunt helicoptor flying in just about every film that had a helicoptor in it. I think he's a legend 8)

just thought of another good film NO MANS LAND it was about an undercover cop working for a porsche chop shop love the black flat nose 911 they nicked

What was that one where a female car thief basically stole and resold the same 911 several times until she could buy a Ferrari Dino ?, she torched it after a brief drive. I know Italian cars can be bad, but that's a bit extreme
