Caliper seized

Hallo,
Traced my front end squeal down to a seized caliper piston, and the bad being stuck on. Took the pads out and the one on the seized side was down to the base plate, and very slightly beyond! Bearing seems fine if a little low on grease. Now I`m stuck with a caliper that won`t come off due to the bolts being stuck solid, and a piston that won`t budge. I don`t have access to acetylene or I`d heat the buggers cherry red, so I`ve tried penetrating fluid for the moment and will have another go before the sun goes down. Any tips on the above, or what to expect once it comes off greatly appreciated.

Ta, :D

How have you seen what the bearings are like if you can't remove the caliper? You can only see the condition of the outer one.The last thing you want to do is start heating up brake calipers to free them off. Continue with the penetrating fluid, but remember that this can damage the piston seals.
Normally if one pad is worn right out it's the other piston that's seized. When the pistons are right out they can be difficult to push back into the caliper bore.
To remove the caliper mounting bolts use a hexagon impact socket and as long a strongarm bar as you can get.
