breather pipe for borg warner 65

Hi has anybody got a Borg Warner 65 black breather pipe for sale?
My one seems to have been up against the exhaust and has melted.

I may have one from a Jag 65, but the problem I think you'll have is getting the plastic pipe off (and then on) the fitting on the gearbox, and removing that fitting involves dropping the sump, and even then they are so old now that the plastic spring clips just break. There should be a clip on one of the tailshaft housing bolts to stop the pipe dropping down.

I'll have a look at what I've got.

The Jag 65 uses a different system which you could use on yours, as I don't have any of the hard plastic breather pipe. The Jags use a small section of oil resistant hose on to the fitting on the box, and then a metal or plastic pipe from there, so you could do that, or just get some oil resistant hose and just use that. (As Triumphs do.) Run it from the box up to about the level of the top of the dipstick, and then back down to somewhere around the tailshaft housing. Just be careful not to break the fitting in the box when you try to pull of the remains of you plastic pipe.

Thanks for the input harveyp6, my auto box is out of the car at the moment, so a easy fix if i can find a genuine replacement. If not I will go with your advice, many thanks for taking the time to look it is greatly appreciated,
regards LOM
