Brake reservoir wiring

I have just repaired the old sticky cork issue but like an idiot just unplugged the wiring without remembering which wire goes where!! (2200 tc) ther appears to be three wires can anybody tell me what connects to what , much appreciated

One terminal has a supply, the other side is a double connection, those being the earth for the low fluid warning switch, and the other is the earth for the starter relay which is piggybacked to it. It doesn;t matter which terminals on the cap get which, (earth or supply) but the wires tend to fall to the correct terminals.

Cheers H, was planning on leaving all three wires off until I had worked out what goes where, presumably if the starter motor relay is piggy back earthed and therefore not connected in this senerio, this would result in a non starting car! Obviously an intresting and useful issue to be aware of!

Hi, it may not just be the starter relay. I have cut a number of looms open for various
reasons on different cars and have found that earth wires for low consumption items
like this are 'daisy chained' around the loom so other equipment could be affected.

I think the ground(s) still have continuity whether the switch is hooked up or not.

They do, it only becomes a problem if the two piggybacked earths become detatched from each other.
