borg warner box problems

a friend has a 1965 S Type jag with a borg warner auto box and he has a problem that maybe can be sorted through the forum. He had the front of the car jacked up for several weeks and since then when he tries to pull away the car revs very high as if the clutches are slipping. Up to the time the car was jacked up the Gearbox was fine.Any help would be great.

I'd check the fluid level, it may be that the front end up stance has cause a small leak from somewhere normally above the fluid level.

That should be DG box, and if so take care checking the level as IIRC it has to be done with the engine running and the selector lever in "L".

From your description the fluid level would be the first thing I'd check.
