another whats this bit post

ok I have got to the stage of fitting the plastic light surrounds and grill and found this bolted to the grill. After I took the pics I realised the top comes off and there is a key hole under the cap.

Coop, you don't say where the car came from, but if it is from the North West, it is to plug the mains powered glove box pie pre heater, so a nice warm pie is available on frosty mornings whilst en route to work. If you're from Cheshire southwards, it's for the onboard croissant toaster..... :wink:

LOL I am from Hertforshire ,we do not touch croissants down ere ,can't stand that foriegn muck :LOL: it is probably for a George Forman Grill ,if it was an Aussie car I would say a BBQ :LOL:
 
Very old car alarms ( 1960's and 1970's ) where activated and deactivated by a key switch hidden somewhere on the vehicle.

Looking at the pics again ,I would have to agree :)
 
i used to hide a flick switch behind an AA badge to activate an alarm siren back in the day
