Aldi Air Tools - Sunday 13th March

Yep - having a 'discussion' about why i need more tools with my good lady wife at the moment :)

Does anybody have any recommendations about which ones are useful and which ones not? Noticed on the other thread someone said the shotblast attachment is no good on the aldi compressor?

Rich.

I didn't say the spot blaster was not good on the Aldi compressor, It was no good, full stop  It might be good for spot paint removal, but on rust spots, well as I said, try Clearasil. The actual compressor has proved very good for the money as a piece of hobbyist kit, tyre inflation, blow gun etc. and I have used it succesfully with my air saw and cut off tool (not Aldi) I haven't used my nut gun (Aldi) as I've not had the need to so I cannot comment on how much airb reserve is needed. The twin outlet is useful as it means not having to keep changing tools on one airline. I seem to recall it seemed to struggle for wind when using a drill continously, and a I find good cordless is preferable in many ways.

Last time they were selling this stuff, I bought the cut off tool and drill, although they don't appear to be doing the drill this time. Both work fine.
They are selling the Air Shears very cheap too, I've already got one of these from Toolstation and it's great for cutting sheet steel, not sure how good the Aldi one will be but for £13 it's worth a punt (they're normally £50 or so)

All their stuff comes with a 3 year warranty and apparently they're pretty good usually just give you your money back if they havn't got any in stock.
