My series 1 p6 is wedgewood blue, the paintwork is in pretty good condition considering that it is 41 years old, however a previous owner has stonechipped the valances and these have never been top coated. Tpo nsave me setting up the whole spray rig is there anyone who can supply me with the correct shade of wedgewood blue so that I can touch in the valances??

Any suggestions?

If you've the paint code, any paint shop should be able to match it. Not sure about the aerosol request though.
Actually, I thought old paint codes would be obsolete by now but after we had resprayed the Oxford in a Grey 2 pack which our local place made up from the original paint on the petrol flap, my Father found a few old paint swatches with the correct code for the Dove Grey & we had some cellulose made up for the interior with it. The 2 pack is a lovely colour & goes with the Triumph Cherry a treat though it's slightly different to the old colour, but straight away you could see the coded cellulose was an exact match for the original. You don't notice the difference in shade on the inside to the outside though..........which was nice.

any decent paint supply shop will make up some aerosol cans for you.

You'll need to buy a tin of paint mixed to the right colour they will then use some to put in the spray cans

Also Hafords do mixed up aerosol cans, not cheap though, and the one I had done wasn't a great match either, so maybe one to avoid ! ???

economy auto paints here do aersols for around £10. I'm sure they have country wide franchise outlets

I go to a place in Bristol where I live, they make up large cans for approx £9...and they don`t need the code, just the name of the colour! Mines Tobacco Leaf and an almost perfect match!

I`d avoid Halfrauds if I were you. In my experience there is either no one around who can operate the equipment successfully, or it`s broken. They can sell you a battery for £68 though!!!
