i've just been browsing ebay as always and there is an ad for a p6 in which the seller has said the car has had 2 owners plus him!
so thats 3 owners then!
or not?
its daft i know but i find stuff like that annoying and misleading.
like;-bodywork perfect apart from;-
so its not perfect then!
'will make good car when finished'??
flipping obviously!
why not put the car is immaculate apart from the bits which aren't!
have i a justified grouse or is it as much a waste of ink as what i'm grumbling about!?
i'll ask my carer!

I hate Full Service History up to; X miles or X year, always a lot less than current, therefore not FSH is it?
One careful owner from new, prove it. (what about the 3 other right @"%@**ards).
Still on the original tyres (at 30yrs old) not exactly a safety selling point.
Warranty available, 6 months or length of forecourt whichever is sooner, unless you leave kidney and you'll get a piece of paper that has more exclusions than Area 52.
Minor parking dents, driven into a bollard, repeatedly.
Cheap repair, then why haven't you?
Not MOT'd but will easily pass, Oh Yeah?
I treat a lot of ebay descriptions as comedy fiction.

Would it be correct to assume that you don't work in marketing?

I can certainy sympathise with you that some of the language used in car ad's is interesting. What kills me is some of the professional trade guys that I have encountered. I just love phrases like, "it's a really honest motor" - what does that mean? Even better, when they ask, "what's your budget sir"? I suppose there is no subsitute for actually talking to a seller to see how "straight" they are. Though, when you read all that kind of nonsense prose in a car ad, it just puts you off even contacting them.
