A slightly different intake option

The Rochester 2G's are as Rare as the manifold, with a manual choke, near impossible to find...
That's a lot of money, but the carbs alone can fetch US500 a piece for rebuildable examples as these are much loved by dirt-track racers in the States and were also fitted to a number of vintage race boats too

Are they good performance wise, by that I mean as good as an edelbrock running Webber carburettors or similar?

Are they good performance wise
Yes, they are superb... HotRod magazine described this carb and manifold arrangement as 2/3rds of a Pontiac Tripower setup
These were the standard carbs on GM products for decades, each 2G carb is capable of flowing 500CFM with a little tweaking
They are effectively a big 2 barrel, all Rochester 2Gs are not created equal, the ones that fit this Edelbrock manifold are big-base 2Gs which are Rare and much sought-after by muscle car restorers hotrodders and racers in North America

A quad of downdraft Webers on individual runners will flow better than a pair of Rochester 2Gs

Thanks for the video of the Pontiac Tokyo, beautiful car & sounded awesome even at tickover. It set me off at a tangent, watching vids of American muscle cars, lost track of time & nearly left for work late!

not sure but think Valley gas do remanufactured carbs-mainly for early style hotrods----so you could get 2x of them and mod rover inlet---or better still-make your own manifolds and fit motor bike carbs-----if you wanted to---just easier to supercharge it or fit bigger v8-or both
