hi all have now decided to start a thread on my restoration i have just bought a almond v8 p6 had it about 6 weeks now so far i have fitted a new fuel filter and reconditioned the fuel pump fitted new timing chain front oil seal and new sump gasket. she runs very well now she has been fitted with fibreglass rear wings having removed the o/s today to find the dreaded tinworm has eaten my inner rear wing so out with the grinder and welder and no doubt the n/s will be the same having only paid £500 for the car i cant grumble i will put pics on when i have time i will be needing r/wings (metal) if any one has any also the beam at the back of the car has some rot not sure wot this is called its the beam that the rear wheels bolt to also i need a rear lower panel thats all for now cheers. :!:

Great stuff! Another one saved. 8)
I think the beam you're on about is the de-dion tube, and it's 2 elbows. The latter need checking carefully if rusty, cause they can fail if too bad, and your wheel disappears up into the wheelarch, and the back end lands on the floor.
This is what mine looked like before:

I paid £500 for mine too, and with a bit of work, new brakes and shocks, a bit of welding here & there, and some TLC, it passed without any advisories. Good luck with it, and get some pics up! :)
