I have a radiator for a 3500 auto, but can't tell whether it is for a series 1 or 2. What is the telltale difference?

Hello Junkman,

Radiators for series one and series two cars are one and the same. The only difference is whether the radiator is intended for a car with an automatic transmission in which case there will be brass fittings in the base of the O/S end tank for acceptance of the transmission oil cooler hoses.

Hello Martin,

I expect that most radiator shops would have no problem in fitting a new core to your friend's radiator.

Ron.

The radiator I have is definately an automatic radiator. It does have the connectors for the transmission cooling pipes.

I have a series 1 radiator from when I stripped the estate. Good condition, and looks like we're in the same county.

Send me a PM if you like..
