2000 bored to 2200

Yep, can confirm. I've seen one engine over here that's had a 2200 head fitted to bored out block. The waterways seem to be fine between the head and block.
@Herts2000, yep it can be done. You see some improvement, mostly feels like extra torque. And, yes, the HIF6 carbs are the way to go for fuelling. Especially as you won't have the higher summer heat there we have in NY/NJ.

Thank you mate :) I can't wait to get it back on the road once I have done everything 8)

I Bet! It was worth the work on mine. I built my engine to reduce compression and get a slight bump in power. NADA 2000TC's came as 10:1 CR, unfortunately the US fuel with ethanol seems to not like it too much. I got a chance years ago to try with a few gallons of aviation fuel 100 octane with lead :) and she felt much better. The mods of going to 2200cc even with the HS8 carbs brought it closer to that feel. Bear in mind that 2200 pistons are 9:1 CR. I've heard folk say that the piston design isn't as sophisticated as the 2000 pistons, but I think you'd only notice if you were squeezing every last ounce of power out of the engine.
