1980 SD1 For Sale

Looks nice though :)

I know where there was one parked up in Arizona looking sad for itself but complete, last year at least. I like the look of the US-spec ones. :)

Hi, to me they look a bit odd with the twin headlights, Other cars especially the
Jaguar XJS look so much better. I suppose it 's all about the original styling. The
SD1 looks like what it is, an after thought. Sorry!

Not my cup of tea either. Just passing the info along. Even wifey looking over my shoulder says "ours (P6 3500s) looks nicer." Definite  ly don't need a pair of Rovers in the stable.

i know the lights thing is to do with being ''americanised'' but why? to me most cars such converted look wrong..... and in the case of the sd1 theres nothing wrong with them in the first place

The USA mandated the use of sealed beams until 1984. I believe this was primarily to allow greater parts compatibility between cars, and therefore lower repair/replacement costs.

Therefore they couldn't just sell the vehicles over there with the standard European lights. :)
