1970's weekend - Cars and trains of the '70's

we,ve decided to take the frame tent, and we,re staying at swans harbour near wymondham.is the bbq still on next sat,and where will we all meet,is there a cafe between us and where you live.it will be funny all of us walking in wearing 70s clothes, Tim

fear not, you should still be able to get in without an entry form, just turn up on the day.
I think they only wanted forms so that they knew roughly how many would be going.

Thank goodness. so what about meeting at Wymondham Station and convoying to Dereham? The route is quite nice and follows the railway for much of the way.

how did this rally go??
I was at another rally when this was on but from what i heard from 1 rally goer to it..the rally site was a little tight for space..

Sorry Jay, forgot to say how it went. Basically the 1970's event was, to say the least, crap! we were all shoved out in the car park (about thirty cars) with modern euro-boxes surrounding us, blazing hot sun beating down on tarmac. Some geezer who looked like buster blood vessel doing a 70's disco that no-one took any notice of, packed tea room, and the only distraction being a routemaster bus tour round Dereham (all of about 10 minutes) and a free ride on the train, about 2 hour round trip meaning those that missed the train had a long wait for it to return. we stuck it out for about 2 hours then decided to head off to the Hindolveston Gala, much better event, plenty to do, cream teas, nice venue, loads of interesting cars on display, fun and games for the kids. definitely on the "to do" list next year. Sorry Tim, we lost you on the way back through Dereham, hope you made it home without any major incident.

Paul.

Hi there ,yes we got back okay,we turned off at the roundabout cos we spotted a petrol station, and decided to fill up there instead of trying to find somewhere later on.
