Amazing how far technology has brought us. Dodge, in North America, has announced a new Dart for 2013, a front wheel drive car that will share it's chassis and other components with the Alfa Romeo Gulietta . The racing version, which will compete in the Global RallyCross Championship, a race against time and other drivers, sports a front wheel drive chassis just like the street version, but with all wheel drive added, and a 600 H.P. 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo charger powerplant. 0-T0-60 on this ride is claimed to be under two seconds! ....under TWO SECONDS! Glad Fiat bought into Chrysler and saved them!

I'd have to add extra bolts to the wings and sills on my P-6 to keep from blowing them off if my two liter could make this kind of power!

Back in the day I'm sure it would have been the same for the alfa, if not true today

Those figures are pretty common in the top divisions of rallycross
0 to 60 faster than a F 1 car and much more excitement

That.....Is hilarious....!!!!

600 hp from 2litres for competition isnt anything new really, as mentioned previously, rallycross cars are up around that figure, we tuned a ford wrc engine to silly figures for hillclimbing when i worked building them.

Saabs are an acquired taste .That one looks like it's got bits of a short wheelbase Quattro and a Metro 6R4 added to it
I don't think we ever got the 2 door 9-3 over here

Acquired taste, to be sure. But once I drove one, a turbo that is, I was sold. Tonnes of character, a comfy, fairly quiet drive and a marvel of an engine in pre-GM form. We've a 9-5 sedan in the family, and it's not a bad alternative to any other driver's car. It's also tuned to 210 bhp by way of electronics. Then there's the 'Night Panel' button. That does it for me 8)
