Was in local Asda this evening and found they had Castrol GTX on sale, I got a couple of 4L cans of 10W/40 part-synthetic for £10 each. As well as 10W/40, think I saw 5W/30. Personally, wouldn't use the 10W/40 in my P6 but it's what I use in my daily driver which is due an oil change - so I'm well chuffed .
As an aside, bit annoying that a lot of oil only comes in 4L cans nowadays. I think Castrol always used to come in 4.5L cans (maybe 5L before that??). You end up buying a 2nd can just to get the extra pint of oil you need (or pay over the odds for small 1L bottle  ). And the price of some fully synthetic oils is astounding! I wonder if the manufacturers just keep upping the price of engine oil in inverse proportion to car makers' increased service intervals? .
