Rover P6 Series 1 V8 with the super rare Triplex Glass roof

Thanks for the welcome! Its a bad habit, but I'm usually looking at what other classic Rovers are out there. Well If anyone ever has an urge to own a triplex roof you know where one is now and for the right money I might at some point be persuaded!

Well yes it would be warm in there on a sunny day, which i guess is why as originally fitted they had a zip in internal textile ceiling!

It is bonded in and its a nice smooth finish, flush with the roof, but I would say it is does cause alot more wind noise.

Yes Chris I think it was off an almond coloured car. I never actually saw the donor car as the owner took the roof (including the actual triplex bit) and sent it straight to Clives place for fitment to mine.

It was an straight forward Ebay Motors find! If memory serves it was listed as part of a Series 2 2.2 SC car. I just messaged the guy when the auction ended and said could I purchase just the triplex roof and he agreed!

Rover P6 Series 1 V8 with the super rare Triplex Glass roof

Just wondered if anyone would like to see a few pics of the fabled triplex glass roof. I have one on my Series 1 V8, wasn't original to this car, I had Clive Annable cut a hole in the roof and install it a few years back. Wind noise is quite bad, but who cares, it looks so cool!
