    Coil getting hot, why?

No, I will check if the ballast resistor is there and if so if there is resistance. If it's not then I guess its ok to fit a non ballasted coil? What's the actual point in the ballast resistor anyway?

Anyone got a spare 2200SC carb?

Hi Everyone, Has anyone got a working carb off a 2200SC? Mines a 1976 car with the float chamber on the underneath of the carb not at the side like the early models. If anyone can help please PM me, thanks.

    Oil light coming on occassionally

Timing chains don't rattle. I have been behind the dash binnacle though to sort out the dicky temperature gauge, which now works fine. Maybe I've disturbed a wire to the oil light....

    Oil light coming on occassionally

It's when you are slowing down to a stop I think but will have to double check, don't recall it happening at speed.

    Oil light coming on occassionally

Hi All, I have a Rover 2200SC which I'm using as my daily driver after a full respray and a damn good rustproofing everywhere! It runs and drives really well with a strong engine. However, after around 20 miles the oil light comes on, goes off, comes on again. It only does it for a few seconds...

    Temperature gauge problem

Well I've managed to fix it by loosening the binnacle, reaching around the back, moving a few wires & hey presto its ok now! Not the most technical of fixes but its working, must have been a trapped wire. Thanks for all your advice guys Geordie

    Temperature gauge problem

Ok, well I disconnected the sender & the gauge still goes off the scale. Looks like its seeing a short somewhere. Thing is its not that easy to trace back as it looks like it disappears into the main loom!

    Temperature gauge problem

Hi Phil, Thanks for all of the info, my car has the strip speedo. I'm sure there are similar fixings on the side like yours so I will have a look. It must be something unique to the temp gauge itself as the fuel gauge is fine. I will post some pics once its been painted! Its a very solid rust...

    Temperature gauge problem

Hi All, Just acquired a 2200SC which I plan to use regularly. I have an issue with the temperature gauge however. As soon as I turn the ignition on it goes straight up & off the scale past the red and stays there. I have changed the sender unit in the side of the engine block but that's made no...
