    Out of ideas, any help?

Over the past 8 months or so I have been having an intermittent braking problem on my '73 V8 P6, the brake pedal goes all soft and squishy and the brakes aren't doing much in the way of braking without being pumped up, usually two or three pumps of the pedal have the brakes back up to normal...

    Pair of P5s in Southampton

A week or so I was up Eastleigh way and saw two (I think) black P5s in convoy up the main road, I was passenger in my friend's car so we couldn't share any Rover love, but I gesticulated wildly in the general direction. Greetings P5 owners of Southampton!

Any chance this will make it through an MOT? NOW WITH VIDEO!

Well, I finally got around to getting the P6 in a video, and then it only took me another month to get in on the internet for all to see! How useless am I? Anyway, for those that may be interested here is the short clip of the ApocaRover doing the rounds of a car park. Clip is about 40...

    5 litre hotrod 1965 2000-

Had a van bonk into the back of my Rover in a carpark once, I was sitting in the car and it scared the life out of me. The bloke came running out to apologise, but he had hit the towbar of course. Luckily it was only 2mph so he had a tiny dent in his bumper. Sometimes I think about taking off...

Can I ask what insurer you are with? My renewal is up next week :D

    Hi new to everything

It's such a shame to see the car change from something that is beautiful into a boring everyday appliance, I get bored just looking at new cars these days, unless it's something exciting like the new Jag F-type coupe, but that's a story for another time. That is one eye-watering insurance...

Darker Nights and Even Darker Lights!

Awesome, thanks for all your responses, guys! I knew it was a long shot to have the double dipped lamps, but I never realised it wasn't even legal. I shall definitely be heading the halogen route then, I am excited for the ability to see at night! Thanks again, Jack

Any chance this will make it through an MOT? NOW WITH VIDEO!

Re: Any chance this will make it through an MOT? Cor blimey it's been a while since I've posted on this thread, but I've finally managed to get around to using the Mad Max Rover 'Fluffy' for some CG work at uni, so here's a few sneak peeks. Should be finished soon enough and I'll post the link...

    Hi new to everything

Always nice to see another one of us 'young 'uns' hopping on the Rover V8 bandwagon, I have a S2 Tobacco Leaf V8S, yours is a damn sight tidier than mine though, significantly fewer dents and primer patches, but each to their own, I kinda like my scrappy paintwork and broken doors! On the...

    5 litre hotrod 1965 2000-

Awesome, thanks for the info. A little food for thought... Car looks great, can see why the coppers wanted to take a gander, bet it blows out a few cobwebs with just the cherrybomb back there.

Darker Nights and Even Darker Lights!

So this might all sound a bit mad, but being the night dwelling chap that I am and it being the dead of winter at the moment, driving my P6 at night has become a bit of a chore because I can't see a damn thing half the time. Turns out those 40 year old sealed beam lamps aren't quite up to the...

    Bollards! It's a Concrete Pillar!

Accursed car parks! I did almost exactly the same thing at Gatwick airport, those damn car parks aren't designed for big old motors with no power steering, especially those that have no brakes at the time! Except it was the rear driver side door and the rear quarter, still got the mangled trim...

    5 litre hotrod 1965 2000-

Great looking car, love seeing something different being done with P6s that isn't just bootlid spares and grille badges! Not a huge fan of the moons on the wheels, but hey.. it's not my car! And it sounds amazing to boot! One quick question, that adhesive number plate on the bonnet.. has it...

    Rover Racer

Man, this car is all kinds of awesome. Wish mine was anything close to as cool as this. Very tempted to get some of those JDM wheelarches and some wide-ass wheel/tires. Maybe I'll leave cutting the hole in the bonnet for a while, bit rainy at the moment...

Red Convertible in the New Forest?

A friend of mine told me he spotted a red topless P6 out and about in Lyndhurst a week or so ago, anybody here own it, or know who owns it? Would much like to say hello to another southern P6-er. And yes, he forgot to take pictures... He knows I am disappointed in him.

Re: Any chance this will make it through an MOT? I've been burning the midnight oil again, literally cannot help myself! So here's a wee more renders of the ... Apoca-Rover.. Apoca6B..Fluffy? Somebody help me out with a half decent name for this thing! This thing is now fully...

Re: Any chance this will make it through an MOT? Thank you all for your kind words, as an artist I always like to hear a compliment or two! This thing is still a work in progress, so watch this space, once I'm finished modelling this, I am hoping to make a short film using it as the hero car...

Okay, so technically this isn't a real life Rover, so we shouldn't have to worry about things like MOTs, but imagine the look on the tester's face when this rolls in! As it goes, I am a 3D animator, and as such I am inspired by the things around me, so I made a Rover; just like my own.. well...

    '73 3500S "Ex-Lax"

Thanks for the info on repairing the window, I have heard of that conductive paint before, wasn't really expecting it to be any use, but I suppose I might as well give it a go, might be a tiny bit cheaper than a new window  I really hope I don't have to face rebuilding carbs anytime...

Don't worry Graeme, I also embarrass myself with poor maths from time to time, mpg wasn't quite that bad, my wallet wasn't happy, but who cares?

    '73 3500S "Ex-Lax"

Hi all, A few weeks ago I posted on the welcome page a photo of my '73 3500S which I bought in late December last year, and after having it kept in the warm and dry since January I have finally got back home from university so I can get stuck into classic car ownership. My dad had kindly been...

Thanks for the headsup on the other forum FrazzleTC, I'll be sure to take a look! And don't worry Stina, I'm a good lad really, I was just getting stressed from waiting at all the traffic lights in Southampton! GRTV8 - Thanks for the headsup, guess its just a matter of trial and error, I'll...

    Hi all - new owner

Thanks again for the welcome! Graeme- Don't worry, as soon as I get back to the car (its been up in Lincolnshire with my dad while I sort out a parking permit in Southampton, turns out the council are fascists in that respect, but after 4 months I've finally sorted it) I will take a few more...
