    I think the old pulled is going on, the new alternator has a turned pulley with a flat bottom in the vee it looks like the belt is bottoming out on the flat bit, it's a new fan belt but it looks a bit small for the new pulley

    I have the same thing, just fitting new alternator, going to just insulate it but what did it do.? The old alternator has four wires coming out of the regulator! The new one is a cheapie non Lucas replica but it should be ok, I hope, just putting it in now ,hopefully everything will work

    The sound qualty s not bad but it can be effected by which way up the cassette thing is, I guess tape head aglinnment , the battery n the thing is not very good, so it helps f you have a cassette player where the end of the tape sticks out to connect the power lead, butsayng that they are cheap...
