well I finished the front calipers and made a few new brake pipes today I've bled the system and all is well with the master cylinder and recon front brakes now I have to recon the rears, I ended up using the master cylinder that came of as it's doing the job, thanks again harvey
my money is on the wrong master cylinder I rebuilt it with a new kit theres nothing wrong or stopping the piston travel, the rod I made was apx 4mm longer and it's a full threaded rod so well and truly adjustable, I now know why when I bought this car the brake pedal although working was only 3...
I haven't started bleeding them yet I fitted one of the recon front calipers today and doing the other on Monday then fitting new pads then will bleed, at the moment I have put the recon master cyl back on, the pedal is in the correct position and when I push it it only goes halfway down around...
well I put the pedal box back in this morning and fitted the newly made rod and the recon master cylinder adjusted the pedal so it was roughly in the correct position you can imagine how elated I was to find the pedal only travelled half way down the air was some what blue,I think I have the...
it was a FPITA lol, I think i'll make one tmrw will save a lot of messing about, I assume they should be straight as the one on mine is bent, and I don't want a bent one im sure :D :D
well Harvey I can tell you it was 100% seized solid I had to undo the master cyl move it as far forward as possible and cut through the adjusting rod where it fits to the master cyl with a steel blade by hand that was a fun 20 mins I can tell you lol, once of the car I got some heat on the...
thanks Harvey i'll try that as you say as long as I can get the master cyl off hopefully without any damage the rod will withdraw with the pedal box assembly i'll let you know tmrw lol cheers.
that's what I was worried about it wont budge so I may have to try and cut it of if I undo the master cylinder and pull it forward will it give me enough room to cut through the rod between the cyl and bulkhead?? thank you.
my recently purchased v8 series one has a few issues firstly i'm rebuilding the brake system, for some reason someone has adjusted the brake pedal it sits very low much lower than the accelerator pedal I tried to readjust it back to the correct position but the adjuster is seized solid so I've...
well it looks like a very good base for making an excellent car the underside is mostly solid and needs a days work just to cut out a couple of areas of rust and weld in new meatal, it does'nt look like it's had much welding either, interior is all in very good order just needs a good clean...

hi guys the headlights on my 2000 are playing up sidelights work fine then switch to headlights they dont come on then when i put main beam on all four lights work, im not sure if it's the dash switch or maybe the main beam stalk, the headlights are not blown and all fuses are in good condition...
given the price of the rostyles i must say i do like the original style hubcaps on either the v8 or 4 cyl cars, they only seem to look rough if there not kept clean
