Hi Nick. Do you know if it's essential to buy a ticket for the house, on top of the rally entry fee? I've got no problem with the rally fee, but as I've got no intention of going round the house :shock: can't I skip that bit? Website booking form doesn't seem to allow it? Cheers mate :)

My daily driver, the SD1 ran out of MOT the day before the show :oops: I've had enough Rovers now not to worry about rust - they all rot out in the end, to try and stop it is only to delay the inevitable :roll:

yeah, it looked pretty tidy.

Followed RAR 501L from Baldock to the M25, where it carried on down the A1. Blue 3500S, possibly it's first trip on the road for a while. Hasn't been taxed since 1984. Anyone on here? If so, I was the white 620Ti up your chuff for about half an hour :roll:

Spotted the police car - the pukka one - coming onto the A3 roundabout at Cobham on Sunday, as I was waiting to come out of the preceeding exit. I was in the SD1, so if I'd been 30 seconds earlier I could have flashed him. And He could've done me for inappropriate use of the headlights... Nice...

The Rover SD1 Club are holding their annual Autumn Meet/Spares Day on Sunday 7th October from 10am. It will be held in the events field at Billing Aquadrome, Northants. This is an informal event - no entry forms, no judging, no prizes - just Rovers and their enthusiastic owners. Just turn up...

yep, it's a shame - particularly when you see so much money being wasted elsewhere. still, such is life :roll:

interesting - and as you say, their information ought to be more reliable than mine, given their meticulous record-keeping - if you do speak to the guys at hampton again, i'd be interested in their reply. at least so i can correct people with the correct information in future :roll: i'm sure...

Just to clear up a couple of loose ends: A152 SUW was not involved in the Liver Run - A536 UJD was the camera car and backup vehicle, A738 UJD carried the organ. Both were Metropolitan Police Rover 3500 Autos - traffic cars, fitted with the bog-standard GM180TH gearbox, as per "ordinary"...

Hi Dave The SD1 forum is not members-only, it's open to all, just like this one. You do have to register, and it may take a day or two for one of our volunteers to allow you access to the forum. This has to be done manually, and is purely to stop spammers etc However, if you can't be bothered...
