Ok, this might be old hat for some of you, but anybody who doesn't know it yet and is in to cars will love this.

C'etait un rendez vous
Or simply
Rendez vous

Important to know is that this film is uncut and not speeded up. It is absolutely original from 1976 at 5.45 in the morning. The story goes that the film director Lelouch just bought himself a Ferrari 275 and was inspired to do this, driving himself, with the camera mounted to the front bumper.

Now push up the volume to the highest setting and watch it full screen....enjoy :D

But supposedly filmed with a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 and the Ferrari soundtrack dubbed in later.

Never seen or heard of this before. The risks he was taking are incredible, irresponsible and thrilling. Bit disappointing to learn the soundtrack was dubbed-in - as they were in our other cherished car chases: "Bullitt","The French Connection" and "the Seven-Ups".

Crazy prick with a death wish, its a shame that people like him so carelessly endanger the lives of other people. I have no time for that mental defect of a person, those that are so short sighted and place there own mental gratification over the safety of others (this is the tamed and edited version f what I really want to write  )
On a lighter note couldn't really spot any P6's in there

Also...IIRC, I think Lalouch drove the Benz as well.
Part of the myth created around the film was that the "Ferrari" was driven by a then current and anonymous F1 driver.

I remember seeing this film many years ago at a promotion for Monroe shock absorbers. We were told it was Alain Prost.
