Wiring at Coil

Dear All,

1973 2000 with 2200 SC engine fitted.

I have three wires at my coil. One is black and (sort of) white and the other two are yellow and white(ish); one of these two is much thicker than the other. The thick yellow/white and the black/white show 9 - 10 volts when the ignition is switched on; the thin yellow/white shows nil.

I need 12 volts at the coil, so with 9 volts showing I must still have this infernal ballast wire connected somewhere?

Please, which wire(s) to the +ve and which to the -ve but disconnecting the ballast wire?

Correctly, I have the red wire from my Powerspark electronic ignition dizzy connected to the +ve and the black/blue wire to the -ve

WITH RED MULTIMETER STAVE ON +VE SIDE OF COIL AND BLACK ON -VE WITH ENGINE RUNNING I ONLY GET 2-.5 VOLTS?

you should have a pink & white this the ballasted wire the next is white & yellow whitch is a 12v supply only while the starter is turning, the 3rd is white& black the one to the dizy. To py pass the balast go to fuse 19 this is item 73 on the wireing diagram and connect at that point. this was put in by an other member ,Dave 3066, when I asked about by passing the ballast
