Which oil filter?

Hiya folks,

Just wondered which oil filter is recommended for the P6?

I'm currently running a Fram PH25, but I'm finding it hard to get hold of another at a sensible price. My car has the 13/16ths thread oil filter plate, so won't fit the later 3/4" thread as run on Range Rovers etc.

I did buy a Mann W936/2, but this is too long and fouls the crossmember when trying to fit it.

What have you got?

The K&N gold one according to spec filters finer particles (10 microns) than the generic types or even the OEM or Fram versions. Might be worth the couple of quid premium. Feels well-made and has a nice hex drive on the end for easy remove too. I think it's the HP-2003 model from memory....

I was just going to say K&N do one. There is a long list on the forum but early Range Rover have the same thread so land rover suppliers can help.

DAV8 said he bought one in this thread and he has been on recently.

K&N as well. Opie Oils who advertise on the forum supply them and the correct oil for the V8 too.
