Tidy Looking 2000 Sold For Peanuts

Does seem very cheap... now why werent they going cheap when i got mine!

You never know what lurks beneath, though. I got my V8 for similar money and thought I was lucky. Now I have spent over a grand sorting the bodywork and the car gives me engine trouble, which, as we all know, will be another grand to fix until the dust has settled.
IMO a good P6 costs you around 3000 no matter how you look at it. But they often still sell for significantly less, even when they are good, and there is your chance. A P6 is still more a labour of love than a solid investment from a pure collector's view, but it's time will come eventually.

Crikey! I was watching that one and am shocked at the result
Good job I wasn't looking really

You're probably right. I paid 1600 for mine, and there's a lot more wrong with it than I thought or was led to believe... At least the engine is nearly there. Just spotting bodywork issues on the way that's really worrying me now. Found that there were holes in the channel at the edge of the engine bay near the wing, gaffa taped over then filled and painted over... Getting worried what else i'm going to find....

They usually aren't really rot boxes, at least not more than other cars their age. But what I found with P6 bodies is that there is never one big thing which needs sorting, it's umpteen little ones. Mine needed welding in 37 places, but only one spot was bigger than a beer mat.

Let's hope it's all small beans!

When the engine's sorted it's rustproofing time... ( Cant wait to drive it now! Nearly there - it's only took my inept self 4 months )

Let's hope it's rustproofing time and not rustproving time. Usually it turns out that what you thought is rust is proven to be rust by merely poking around with your thumb... :D

quite possibly... It looks surface from the outside generally and there's very little showing from the inside with the exception of the boot but looks can certainly be deceiving!
