I have always been told that the Rover V8 is a remarkable motor. I luckily have a vehicle that has done 61000 miles. Confirmation of this was on last Sundays "Top Gear" programme. The series as seen in NZ varies wildly as you can get a programme dating from 2002 through 2004 to 2005 (the latest). This one showed all the vehicles fitted with the V8. It was indeed a pleasure to watch. I recently had to buy a new car battery. I asked for one that had at least 500 CCA as it was a V8. Most V8's in NZ are either Australian or American V8's around 4.5 or 5.7. When I said it was 3.5 the salesman said "It must be a Rover then."
