Talago for Sale

Mark Gray was there helping out with the sale of a friend's Riley RME. The bidding was fierce and mostly by telephone - I'd think it's going abroad.

Far too steep for me - over £20K with premiums but I'm glad Ian got a decent return for the effort. It remains a very rare car and a bit of Rover history despite all that's happened to it.

Even if you regard the car simply as a very nice, and effectively new, 3500 and ignore all the history I think that is a very fair price. With the history, however murky, of how it came to be like this then I think that is a real bargain.

As you can imagine I'm very happy. I have not been told who has bought the car (they are not allowed to tell me due to data protection) however its gone to a man who has enq on many occations, the car has been inspected / viewed and he is chuffed to have won the car. Im so glad its seems to have gone to a good home. If i find out whos bought the car ill let you know.

That's an interesting comment about how they can't tell you who you're selling your car to due to data protection. Did you sign the papers over to the auction house first then?
