Just to give everyone a laugh.
We have a broody chicken and as she has been sitting on the eggs for well over the 3 weeks - I foolishly investigated. I very carefully chipped away at an egg to see if we had life inside. Alas - It literally exploded
The contents consisted of green smelly (and I mean smelly) slime at high pressure. Fortunately I wear glasses, however my face arms etc were splattered, even the dogs ran away from the smell. Imagine the reaction of human members of the family?
I was forced to strip off outside for my clothes to be hosed down and I was frog marched to the shower.
So a lesson learnt - never ever crack opên an egg that has sat under a chicken at high temperature for 4 weeks!
