Seats for S2

I've just bought a 1975 S2 V8 and I pick it up tomorrow (sight unseen on ebay, gulp!)

The interior is Sandelwood cloth which is in a poor state.

I'd like to replace with leather seats. Is it a simple swap for any other style from any age of car ?

I believe that the earlier seats weren't designed for inertia seat belts.

There is a tight fit in the front, the belt and mechanism can rub against the leather.

Thanks, I drove 100 miles to get my new ebay purchase today and got back without a hitch. Its a 1975 Scarab blue 3500 auto and is quite good but the interior trim is shot.

Its the cream cloth boxpleat and it looks like someone has let a rottweiler loose in the back! Even the door cards are orrible!

Now on the hunt for a black or brown leather replacement set!

I've got a set of early white(ish) leather seats sitting in my garage. They have individual rear seats, rather than the bench type that later cars had.

Not sure what condition they are in now. When I bought them they were in good condition apart from some fraying of the piping on the driver's seat.

I've never seen a P6 with bench seats of any description. You had the option of a bench with the P5's, the 6's always had individual seats......... ???

Nigel, I am willing to part with them for a small fee. :) I'm based in north Kent. I'll have to have a look at the seats just to make sure that they are still in reasonable condition.

Nigel, I sent you a PM with a link to some photos of the seats a couple of days ago. Are you still interested in them?
