Seat sizes - Seat sizes

Hi

I want to get some leather seats to replace the cloth ones in my 1974 3500S - are they the same size in all P6s or will I need to get specific sizes ie. series 2?

Rickkk,
The seats from all models will fit. Later seats were thinner in the backrest (so more legroom in the back) and cars with inertia reel seatbelts in the front have a metal "rubbing strip" on the outside of the seat. Boxpleat fitted in "S" models and flatpleat in 3500. Check for headrest mounts also as some early seats may not have them.

I have sourced some seats now and am driving to South Wales tomorrow afternoon to collect them (from Manchester). I actually bought a full car (Rover P6 2200TC - Ebay auction number 2483405304) for £60.00 but have agreed with the seller that I will pay this just for the replacement seats and he can sell the car on to someone who will hopefully restore it.

Chuffed to bits to be a P6 owner again after a 6 year absence - last one a 2000SC. Going to join the P6ROC and go to a few events in my excellent 3500S, filling in the form as we speak.
