Hello, i'm after another P6,

It doesnt really matter about engine type but the car really needs to be suitable for a rolling restoration.

Something I can drive to work and work on etc.

Need to be fairly local too, I live in Uxbridge, West London.

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum Andy.

Whats your budget?
What sort of work are you capable of doing on a car?
Do you want very nice that can be improved on,or solid but tatty looking to do up?
You cannot see what horrors lurk,so be prepared to get stuck in with a welder if you are unlucky.
I have a very nice blue 1970 2000sc auto that should be available for sale in about march!
Ive been using it as my daily for the last 2000 miles without a hitch, was locked away in 1994 till I bought it and recomissioned it.
Intended to use it whilst I did up my V8 over the winter, but another "very!!" important car project came up.
Nick Dunning is localish to you,and may know of something!

Good hunting,,, Dave

Hello,

I think I will have to cap my budget to £1000 preferably less. I'm still kicking myself for selling my Series 1 - It was tatty as hell on the outside but the bodytub has been restored a good few years before.

It was owned by the Pilkington glass family from new.

I work for a tuning company so can sort out most problems but would prefer a mechanically sound car with MOT and shabby bodywork.

Or, I may just sell my Focus ST and buy a really nice low mileage unrestored car or and newly built car - I would get a V8 in this instance.

Decisions decisions, but whatever I do ill be in trouble with the better half :?

Great forum by the way, very inspirational.

Cheers,

Andy
