Imagine my surprise and delight when I stumbled on a very tidy LHD 3500S parked in trendy Mitte, downtown Berlin on Saturday afternoon. There I was thinking I was the only owner of a V8 P6 in this town! It had Hanover number plates, so perhaps it belongs to an out-of-towner on a visit? If the owner is a Berlin resident I am especially keen to hear form them, there can't be many fans and owners of these great cars over here.
I am stuck in to a very extensive restoration project, my car is far from roadworthy right now, I refer readers to my next post in the 'members projects' section.

There is a very active Rover club in Germany (the most recent International Rover rally was held earlier this year in Dusseldorf

If interested I can pass on the details of the German Rover Club to you

Hallo Rudiger

Mr Lechner's car is a fine machine, I look forward to meeting him and other German P6 owners once my car is back on the road. I've never actually seen a P6 with wire wheels, they must take some polishing on summer Sundays!

You know, the more I see P6's painted black the more I’m inclined to go that may myself...

I thought that the wire wheels and hubs were unique to the P6, and were not up to the job of being used on the V8. Or have those been custom built around the P6 centre using uprated spokes and rims.

They do look nice though, they're just hard work to keep that way.
