rear splash panels

hi all would you do this or not , im going to remove rear splash panel and fit new would you or can i cut off the old and then drill and pot rivett the new panel to the body work , good idea or a very stupid idea
please let me know if i can or why i should nt do it

Well it's not a structural part but for what it would take it would be better welded as pop rivets tend to corrode & could cause you more bother than it's worth & you might end up in a situation where the splash panel falls off :shock:
