Rear Headrests

Wonder if anyone can help. I'm after a pair of rear headrests, preferably black vinyl/ambla. If all else fails, is there anyone near me in Kent that's got one that I can have a look at and measure, and get my friendly trimmer to copy. My eventual plan is to incorporate a pair of speakers inside the body of them and get rid of my 70's Pioneer shelf-mounts.
Any help much appreciated!

That is a good idea 8)

Why not make up some cardboard templates using the rear seat profile and get your trimmer do make them up from that. I was contemplating doing that before I managed to get a hold of some headrests. Should be fairly straightforward :)

Jim Brown (Ely Service) got a long way towards doing a run of these, I saw prototypes, complete with speakers, but I'm not sure what happened in the end.

I just sold some in-need-of-colouring buckskin rear headrests on eBay for £108. Only set I've had pass through my hands.

That part is easy enough, but I want them to look as original as possible so I'd like to measure widths, depth, height etc to get the overall shape just so :?

You can buy new reproductions - which I can't tell from the originals - from JRW.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise. I'll just check if I've got a spare arm and leg...............

The p5 ones are much larger.

Also if you look they seem to be handed to the drivers side?? Even in my car they are like that.

Ah, wasn't sure :) I think these were listed the other day for P5 and P6, thought they were listed differently and dearer as a trial, obviously they are no good for the P6 then
