Rear Caliper - Brake Grease

My trusty Repair & Operations Manual states that when rebuilding the rear calipers a lot of the bits should be lubricated with special brake grease Rover Part No 514577.

Can anyone suggest an alternative - moly brake grease, red grease, white grease, copper grease or what ?

I'd say Girling red grease on the rubber seals and copaslip on any pivot points .

A sachet of the Rover recommended grease always used to come supplied in the Girling seal kits for the calipers. It realy is a thick grease, far more so than copaslip, with a consistancy like thick underseal so it stays where it's put. I agree that copaslip is probably the next best alternative, but first I'd find a good specialist brake supplier and see if Girling still list the original grease.
