Quick starter motor question.

Hey groovers, picked up this starter motor which is P6B orientation. No spade terminals but I assume top screw (wire with red tape) is the 12v to coil ballast bypass and the bottom is 12v from ignition? Thanks for your advice.

If you clean off around the bottom small connection, it looks like it has 'IGN' moulded into the bakelite, meaning it's the ballast bypass. To prove it try flashing power onto the two small connections in turn, one will operate the solenoid the other will appear to do nothing.

Thanks - I didn't even see that (IGN) there!!

Additional question for bonus points - how much current are these likely to draw? I have to figure out what gauge wire to send from the boot mounted battery.... Cheers :)
