I use Armorall (available from Halfords) for my vinyl roof!

I wouldn't recommend shoe polish.
You could clean it throughly with a 'Vanish' soap bar, a scrubbing brush (gently) and plenty of water, or you could use Traffic Film Remover (TFR) diluted with 10 parts water.
Then, as Phil says, when completely dry use a regular application of Armour-All.

i would highly recommend shoe polish, you would be surprised at the people that use it. rub it in and polish it up, look what it does to your shoes, water runs off them. it will not leave nasty run marks and look at the price of a tin of shoe polish to the price of all those fancy kits. i have used it for the last nine years on vinyl roofs.

You cannot beat "Son of a Gun" by STP - I always used it on my cars with a vinyl roof. It's a silicon based pump-spray and it's clear so although I've only ever had black vinyl roofs I'm sure it would be just as good on Huntsman.
